Study Handbook
Oslo National College of Art & Design asked us to make a catalogue based on the principles of a manual for new and continuing students. The whole idea was to make it more personal, and give it a feeling of a diary, with scribbles from former students. The concept goes back to the basics of creativity from once you were a kid. All illustrations are done with BIC pens which comes with the catalogue. The titlingpages are interactive pieces, meant for the reader to finish with the attached pens.
FORMAT: 170×270mm, 84 pages
PRINTING SPECS: Plastic wrapping, perfect bound, perforation, spot-varnish, printed with 2 Pantone colours + black, printed on Munken Pure and Munken Print White paperstocks.
I think Your Friends may be my new favourite design studio. Their art direction and publication production is really something. This printed student guide has a real hand crafted feel to it in places which makes it less stuffy than your average diary. The use of red and blue is a little bit different to and also has more playful aspects to it, where the reader solves puzzles to see the title pages.
